RTO/ERO TEXAS GOLF SCRAMBLE

On May 25,2006, despite the threatening skies, 24 eager golfers took to the links in Tillsonburg at Tillsonview Golf Course to enjoy an afternoon of golf (scramble format). The fairways and the greens were in excellent condition. As the afternoon progressed, the sun shone making the event most enjoyable.

Thirty (30) feet of "mulligan string" proved worthwhile for the winning team of Mary Auge, Gaston Deserres, Theresa DeSerres and Shirley Telford.. Solid drives earned Mary Auge and Martin Hartig prizes for the longest drives .

The putting contest, capably managed by Mary Margaret Braun and Barry Tait, was won by Tom Smith. Closest to the pin champs were Angela Piovesan and Bob Lester.
Special thanks to Ben and Janet Vink who so graciously welcomed us to their facility and to Norm Telford for constructing our new putting board.

Plans are already in progress for next year’s tournament by convenors Yvonne Farquhar and Kris Palmer. Look for the spring announcement for time and place of our next annual fun tournament.
